I just broke down in my '05 Forester. I was on the interestate and it started missing and losing power - the check engine light started flashing. I managed to go about a mile to a gas station.
The guys who looked at it said I was running on one cylinder by the end. They tested the ignition coil, the
fuel pressure, cleaned the mass air flow sensor and checked for vacuum leaks, put in a new cam and
crank sensor - still can't figure it out. It has a new timing belt and the timing marks were checked to
make sure the car is in time. Any ideas where to go from here?
Is the check engine light still on? Personally after replacing all of those parts, I'd find another mechaninc.
