The passkey light on my dashboard was on this morning when I went out to go to work. It goes off when I drive but now comes back on blinking when the car is off

Sounds as though there is a problem with the security system recognizing the RF chip in the key. Have this checked out by a dealership.

I was told by a Saturn tech that the Ion's don't have a chip in the key and the key is way too cheap to have a chip in it anyways. I suggest to check the wiring and see if it is all still properly together.
