I have a 93 Pontiac Grand prix 2 door. My husband put gas in it and it wouldn't start. The next day I got it to start 3 times in a row and now it sounds like it will start but it doesn't.

Could be a batch of bad gas with water in it. Add some dry gas and see if that helps and some fresh fuel...Was the fuel filter changed at any point of you owning it? You can have the fuel pressure checked to see if your fuel pump is starting to fail.

Sound like classic symptoms of a failed fuel pump to me.

Some cars are overly sensitive to 'topping off' the tank. Did the car actually stall at the gas pump, or he drove it home okay and then it wouldn't start?

After He put a 1/2 tank in at the pump then it wouldn't start. The next day it started up 3 times and now it won't fire.
