Thermostat fluctuates

Asked by Coupe_6798 Feb 23, 2017 at 07:46 PM about the 1994 Pontiac Firebird

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I  have a 94 firebird and I've had it for 5 months and it has
never overheated until this morning.  The thermostat shot
up really high  and it makes this jerking motion like the car
wants to cut off when I accelerate .My fluids are good and
the fan works .I have no clue what it could be . Any ideas

I think your thermostat is stuck closed. Time for a new one.
