1997 grand prix gt will turn on but wont start any suggestions?

no crank, no start. the lights and radio all work it just doesnt turn over.

Try starting it in neutral. It may be the neutral safety sw. Try tapping on the starter with a hammer. If it then starts the starter is bad. HTH. -Jim
