Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It could be so many things. Something could have gone wrong with any part of the engine which sends a code to the car computer to let you know. It could be something as simple as the gas cap isn't tight enough to a serious engine problem that need immediate attention. Best thing you can do is take it to an Autozone and have them run a free diagnostic check. They will tell you exactly what is wrong. I hope that helps.
