Big oil leak

I brought a 2000 Pontiac sunfire. It throws out alot
of oil mainly on the left side where the pulleys
are.also the belt throw the oil up on to the
alternator and inside the hood any idea what's the
problem ???

You probably have a bad oil seal on the crank pulley and it needs to be fixed immediately.

Thanks for answering and yes is in that area. How would I go about fixing this problem would u know?

You have to pull the fan belt off and remove the pulley and then the seal and install a new one. Access is probably quite tight and if you are not a competent shade tree mechanic I would recommend that you go to a pro.

Well I went to an O'Reillys to buy a new one they said there was an inner and a outter seal .....in the crank is there two or one seal ??
