pushing on brakes does not activate brake lights

All bulbs have been replaced.  Fuse for brakes is good.

there should be a switch on the brake pedal arm , see if it's intact , a multi tester would help to see where there's juice and where there's not .

I agree. Check the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal. Also, make sure your sockets are not rusty or corroded. These cars are notorious for the taillight assemblies separating and allowing water to get inside. HTH. -Jim
