2004 Bonneville SSEI Blower Motor Control Module Access Advice Needed

Asked by Jul 27, 2017 at 11:26 AM about the 2004 Pontiac Bonneville

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Appears to be no power to HVAC blower.  (Digital climate control).  Cleaned
carbon from motor, it worked again for about 10 minutes then stopped.
Checked voltage available at 3 wire plug into blower.   Of the three wires into
the plug, one side and the center wire are larger gauge than the third wire,
so I figured those were the wires to check with voltmeter. Is that correct so
far?  Voltage was all over the place. 1-2v max reading was 7v.  Voltage was
varying constantly as long as car was on. Didnt seem to be a rhyme or
reason to the variability.   It seems next step is to test climate control module.
Herein is my problem.  I'm not certain how to access it.   I have followed
blower motor supply wire as far as i can see, but there is another module
blocking my view.  Removed glove box and side dash panel.  It appears to
me the BMC module is behind whatever this other module is that is blocking
access.   Before I tear more of this car apart is that in fact where the BMC on
this vehicle is located?  Damned if I can find any pictures online!
