Radio stays on after cars off?
It just started today I have a 2005 Pontiac
grand am. When I turn off the car. Take out
the keys. Open the door. The radio is still
on. I have to turn off the radio or it will stay
on. What is the problem?
Sounds like your having a problem with the exit delay system, it should be checked out by a tech, it can cause battery failure if the internal timer fails completely.
Is there a way someone or you could explain it to me because I. Would like to do it myself
Well not really, do you have access to a Snap on Genesis or similar unit? You really need to see what the BCM is doing. Or you could just try replacing all the main power relays and HOPE that one of them is just sticking. You really need the right equipment to check this out properly. And no you can't put a battery disconnect on the car either, that will cause a BCM malfunction and then none of the accessories will work. HTH
