Asked by Chrissy Oct 06, 2019 at 06:42 PM about the 2005 Pontiac Grand Am

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Was installing radio and heard a pop. Now I
have no tail lights, no dash lights, no signals,
and no hazards. What happened?

You didn't disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting your electrical work, which you should always do. So by the pop, you created a short short in the wiring. A fuse on that wiring circuit likely blew. Time to replace the fuse.
