Why does my car slow down after 20 miles an hour?
My nissan altima pulls off fine from a stop light or dead stop. It accelerates up to 20 miles
an hour then as i press on the pedel it won't acceletrate as it should. The rpms are up but
the car doesn't speed up.
It could be as simple as a plugged catalytic converter or as bad as a slipping transmission. Start with checking your transmission fluid level. It should be full, look like cherry kool- aid and not smell burnt. If its low fill it up to the proper level. Then look for a leak. If the fluid is brown/black and smells burnt the trans is most likely shot. Any check engine lights on.
dash lights will not work now either. I changes the cell phone port fuse and that's when the problem begin
