I'm asking because the Mitsubishi dealer told me he will have to take out the dash board to get to it. He quoted me around $700.00 for replacement. Thanks

To change the injectors, pull fuse to fuel pump, crank car and let run till it runs out of gas, remove intake tubing, remove plenum, remove fuel injector electrical connectors (will need a screwdriver to CAREFULLY remove the metal retaining clip), remove fuel pressure regulator and return line off fuel rail (long thing part in front and underneath of plenum), make sure you have a rag underneath regulator/return to catch any remaining fuel that may come out. remove fuel return loop on DS of car (short funny looking thing connecting fuel rails together, 2 bolts each). Carefully remove fuel rail, make sure to pull evenly when removing to prevent damage. Replace injectors and reverse operations. ~ 2 hour job for a 1st timer
