will a 50A fuse work in place of the 30A that is recomended for the covertable top on a 2004 mitsibishi eclipse spyder gt?
ble top on my mitsubishi spyder doesnt go down and i checked the fuse for where there is
suppoed to be a 30A i found a 50A and was wondering if that makes a difference?
recommended fuse settings are for a reason. If you use a bigger fuse than your supposed to then you could burn out the motor to your top if there were an electrical issue.
Never ever put a higher amperage fuse in! If the 30 AMP fuse blows it's because there's something wrong on that circuit. I understand that you didn't do it. But by putting in the higher amp fuse there's a risk of damage and fire!! Find out why the 30 AMP fuse blows. It's probably a dying motor pulling too much power through the circuit. This can overheat the wiring and cause a fire! HTH. -Jim
would that be related to whats killing my battery?i bought this car not even a week ago.the brake lights keep staying on when the car is off, wiggling the brakes helps get them off but even still i keep ending up with a dead battery.
The brake light issue sound like a bad brake light switch. But unrelated to the convertible top issue. HTH. -Jim
itll work great until you either burn the motor out or the wires melt and possibly start a fire but yeh will work great til that happens
