I recently took my 2005 MINI Cooper S convertible into a shop to replace the alternator. When I picked up the car, the problem persisted; no power and service engine soon light were on.
Now they're saying it's the harmonizing
balancer sensor? What is this and is it true that
they wouldn't have been able to diagnose the
problem without first replacing the alternator?
What are the check engine codes? Auto zone will check them for free. Then post the numbers back on here for us to better help you figure out what's going on with your car. Your shop could just be parts changers hoping to guess right. Let's arm you with information so you will be better prepared to deal with them.
