Would 7.3 fit in a mercury montclair 1955 ?

The diesel? It might be possible but you need to take some measurements and do a trial fit. Your car will be more valuable with the correct original engine.

Yes sir I do have the original engine complete. I just thought a diesel would b nice. Do u have a idea how much it cost to overhaul engine?
