my check engine light came on today, so I used a device to tell me what the problem was and the code it showed me was P0305. Could you tell me what that means

P0305 mean that Cylinder #5 is misfiring. So either your spark plug is faulty or the spark plug wire. So I would go ahead and change all the plugs and wires, since if you repalce the one, the others are not far behind. Swap out your distributor cap and rotor while your at it. I'm assuming you have the 3.0L V6 engine.
