Driver side window started hesitating then finally stopped working

Same issue here and it turned out to be the switch. To be sure, remove door panel and unplug the motor from the switch. Using a 12 volt power supply (jumper cables from your battery) supply power to the motor. If the motor runs, it's your switch.
