I have a Mazda 626 LX year 2001 and I'm having problems with the transmission I can drive it for awhile and then when it gets hot the rpms get high and the it won't drive what is the problem

Hard to say, but if the fluid is low, you will cook the transmission, and that automatic in your car is known for issues. Might be time for a rebuild. Put probably not worth spending the thousand of $$ on a 2001 626. Have your local mechanic check it out sooner than later.
