coolant is leking in front of the motor under a cover that say Caution Hot. What is this?

that is a question that may need a photo. there are allot of things under some of these covers. it could be a coolant overflow line, main radiator hose or the radiator itself. is it a v-6 or a 4 cyl? i have allot of experience with the 4 cyl but i would need a little more detail about the problem area.
