Is there a fuse for the water temp gauge on a 1972 C10 Chevy pickup?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I discovered today that there is no electricity on the wire to the sending unit. Is there a
fuse for the water temp gauge? If so, where is it located? I can't find it in the fuse box.

Gauge fuse in the fuse box, but if your other gauges work them the fuse is not the problem, try grounding the wire at the sender and watch the water temp gauge, if it starts to go full swing then the wiring is good and the sender is bad, if nothing happens then either the gauge itself is bad or you have a broken power circuit that feeds the temp gauge, if that is the case then look closely at the plastic IC strip assembly on the back of the instrument cluster they tend to get brittle and break off contact points.
