dude on a 93 crown vic i hate to say it but there are wires under the interior that corrode and you have to fix them so you will need to pull out the seats and the carpet to get to them... they should be behind the center concil. but both seats have to come out.. moisture gets in there and blows out the wiring.. its not that bad really it will take you like a 1/2 hour to do it all... good luck bud

ran into kinda the same problem with the lights, only mine would work...then not work...then work again for a while..then not... ended up being a corroded wire under the carpet..once i figured this out which took quite a while,it wasn't to bad to fix...had to take the 2 front seats out.peel the carpet back and i replaced the harness with one from the wreckers...took about an hour and a half...no problems since...just the alternator light flickers every now and then...but that's for another day...hopefully this helps...
