Mark VIII mirrors when backing up

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a 1998 Mark VIII.  When in reverse the rearview mirrors point
down at the rear tires.  First evening with it I backed into a trash can at a
commerical  parking lot.  I would like to stop them from changing positions.

GFs Mini Cooper does that too, lol. On your Lincoln you can go into the driver settings in the message center, scroll through the options until you get to the reverse mirrors.

excellent answer. I did not see that in the owners manual and there it is. Also a lot cheaper than going to a dealer.
