can i put a 5.4 rear wheel drive motor in a 98 lincoln continental front wheel drive

Doubtful. I dont think the motor would fit first of all and second the trans will not bolt up to it.

The front wheel drive engine is different from the rear wheel drive. It simply would not fit. You COULD convert the car to rear wheel drive, but that is a LOT of work, including custom making a transmission hump for the floor pan. Better to buy a rear wheel drive car.
