Battery cable corrosion

Asked by Jun 17, 2016 at 10:31 AM about the 1999 Lincoln Town Car

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Are the battery cable splice repair kits worth it? I'm
worried that the whole cable might be corroded

Your correct many cables can oxidize/ corrode.. UNDER the insulation creating very high resistance, just replace the complete cable there not very expensive. I've checked cables, (multimeter) that "look" great that can barely carry any current (resistance is so high) through them!
