Hi, I have a 1994 Thunderbird . I have NO stop lights .
I have changed the brake stop light switch on the brake pedal , but still no stop lights ... also it wont release the shifter out of park , do you have any ideas what it might be ? what can i check next Thanks
I know it might seem elementary but have you checked the light bulb and the fuse? It is possible that they could both be burned out.
it was a wire up under the dass that didn't look broke but when moved around and twisted it was .now it is fixed : )
Glad you found the problem. Stop lights don't have a lot of reasons rto not work, but a bad wire is unusual. Happy roads
To get it out of park you need to turn key Hal way not on shift to neutral then start and shift but if you put in park have to shut off and then key half way again and put to neutral then start never start in park.
