four wheel drive

Asked by Jan 26, 2018 at 09:48 PM about the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question type: General

when my husband drives the truck, he will use the four wheel drive and will
forget to shift it back to normal 2 wheel drive and park the truck. Will this
damage the truck if the four wheel drive is on overnight or for long periods at a
time like for couple of hours.

Driving on dry roads in 4WD will damage the drive train. Parking it in 4WD does nothing at all.

No problem, it's not really doing anything by just sitting there
