My door won't stay closed on my car. Every time I try to close it, the latch won't catch to keep it closed. Please help

Open other door and inspect its latching mech on the door. Then visually inspect the door that won't close properly. I feel that you will see the latch mech already closed on that door. Use a screw driver or other tool to pry latch mech as you pull on the door handle. When it clicks open you should be able to close the door properly.
