AT light came on while I was driving my Mazda

Asked by Jun 14, 2017 at 12:35 AM about the 2006 Mazda MAZDA3 Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I ran over a plastic jug while I was driving home then my AT light came on. I
drove it all the way home and parked it in the drive way. Did not notice
difference in handling and acceleration was fine. I got home and parked.
Once I restarted the car the light did not appear and I left it on for about 5
min. Can I drive it one more day before I take it to the mechanic without
causing damage to my transmission?

If the light was on due to breaking a trans fluid line, I would say no. Did you get under the car to check out the damage?
