coolant temperature sensor location

Asked by Dec 27, 2015 at 11:01 AM about the 1999 Lexus RX 300

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

P0125 code. Need to know the location of the ect sensor on this vehicle.

1 Answer

Replace the thermostat first. I literally just had this code pop up yesterday on my '00 Grand Prix. The thermostat was stuck partly open. If your Lexus doesn't warm up to operating temperature (195°F) within a certain time limit this code will set. The most common cause is a stuck open thermostat. HTH. -Jim
