I have a 2003 Lexus GS300 with a good body but a bad engine. Can that be traded in for a down payment on a used vehicle?

Depends on the dealer & what your new vehicle will be. I tried, last month, to trade-in my '93 Caprice on the '08 Mercury Grand Marquis I bought. They offered me $350.00 for junk on the Caprice. So I sold it to my friend's son for $500.0. The steering column was messed up. The guy fixed it & now has a good car. Try to look at all your options. Maybe you can create a win/win situation like I did. Good luck. HTH. -Jim
