Is there a sure fire way to tell if head gasket is blown r heads cracked, without taking to a shop?? Something I could c myself? ?? On a 2000 kia sephia? ??

Yes, it might not be a headgasket issue. But if it was you would need to perform a cylinder pressure test and or leak down test. You can do it yourself in your driveway. Check online or youtube on how to perform the test. Involves having a pressure gauge and removing the spark plugs. Replacing the headgasket and machining the heads, are best left to the pro's.
