Question type: Car Customization

I am trying to decide on putting a supercharger on my 95 gt or get a new 302 crate engine. Which would be the best in the long run?

eather way u go,it is going to cost, for the money, crat engine.

When you say a new 302, are you referring to the modular 302?

No its not modular its just a crate 302 that puts out 345hp 360tq

With that kind of output, get the engine. It'll be more cost effective, plus piece of mind.

I would go with the crate motor...

bro from experience you will blow ur motor on ur 95 302 if it has high milage go with a crate look at the new 5.0 crate 450hp 6k

Do you know where to find 5.0 crate that puts out that ?

$6995 is the price for the new vitec dohc engine, but that doesnt include the cost of a computer and chassis upgrades, Ford racing has the engines for sale now.

at the cost of dropping that much money on one of these options you will never get your money back. the car is a 95. im guessing it could use an entire suspension upgrade as well. wouldnt it be more cost effective to get a 2003 svt cobra or an even newer mustang? just a thought.

boy you sure know a lot.

You can go to a mustang performance shop but just remember man you will ned to upgrade your rear end clutch and transmission it can handle that much power if you want power and speed you have to do it right orelse you will break everything in a month or less or what you can do man is just but a new 302 my buddy bought one for 2500 and then do some internal work on it get it tuned and out a supercharger on it you can push 6 psi get 400rwhp out of it thats 450crank
