I have 2005 Kia Amanti and I am idling my engine
how does the gas use compare to if I was driving is
it more gas driving or about the same because I
was once told that idling doesn't use gas?

It doesn't use gas when idling? That would violate the laws of physics. What causes the engine to run when idling? Burning fuel does that. It will use much less fuel when idling than going down the road, but it still uses fuel.
