My 1989 Chevrolet van just cut off. Turns over but won’t start

My 1989 Chevrolet Van just stopped running. It
turns over but won’t start. Coil?

Common problem was the ignition module and pickup coil inside the distributor. You can test for a trigger grounding signal and ignition coil power using a test light just unplug the coil and put the light between the power and negative in the plug and crank engine over, the test light should flash, if it does then the coil is bad, if it doesn’t then module is bad. I would replace the pickup at the same time som both ignition components are new.
