I have lost the keys to my 95 ford explorer. Can a locksmith make me a key for it or do I have to go to ford for a new one? I am so far from a town that has a ford dealership. Help
Hopefully you have a key code that is in the owners manual, it most likely will be just written down, they will have an FA or FB then the code number, that is what the locksmith will need to make you a key. The only other option is to have one do a service call to where your rig is and he will be able to "pick out" and cut a key on the spot, but that won't be cheap. Unless you bought the rig new from a Ford dealership then you could call them with your name and VIN and they still might have the record.
