92 wrangler speedometer works odometer does not?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm assuming that you have the rolling numbers type of odometer. Most likely the little plastic gear that turns the numbers has worn out. Honestly at this point I wouldn't worry about it. If you ever decide to sell the vehicle indicate on the title under "odometer statement" TMU. This is the universally accepted abbreviation for True Mileage Unknown. HTH. -Jim
