92 wrangler speedometer works odometer does not?

I'm assuming that you have the rolling numbers type of odometer. Most likely the little plastic gear that turns the numbers has worn out. Honestly at this point I wouldn't worry about it. If you ever decide to sell the vehicle indicate on the title under "odometer statement" TMU. This is the universally accepted abbreviation for True Mileage Unknown. HTH. -Jim
