Tire pressure warning

Question type: General

Took vehicle to tire shop they checked air pressure in tires and all is
good but the warning on my dash still won't reset. Please can anyone
give me answers..HELP ty in advance mzpaz

TPMS sensors can last anywhere from 5 to 7 years normally, your at the 5 year mark now, I recommend you find a tire shop that has the equipment to read the signals from the sensors and see if the output is low or gone, it may just be time for new sensors.

It's true that sensors usually don't show trouble until five to seven years, but that's due to the batteries dying. When you replace the tires, replace the sensor batteries too. If your TPMS light won't go out now, it's not because you can't reset for tire pressure, it's sensor related. As tennisshoes recommended, go to a tire shop that has a sensor scanner that reads the condition of the sensors/batteries; I'm sure there's at least one that's giving you trouble. To get at a sensor now, you have to remove one tire bead and after it's fixed you have to remount and balance the tire and that can be expensive. A little piece of tape to cover the dash light is MUCH cheaper..... Opinion: The TPMS is one of the stupidest extras ever added to cars.
