Code 41 means Alternator field control circuit open or shorted. The field control circuit comes from the computer to the alternator at the dark green wire. The circuit is grounded by the black wire, which grounds to the engine behind the alternator at one of the coil mounting bolts I believe. Check that ground is good, I expect that's the most likely cause.
