interchangeability of the 4.0 six cylinder

i have a 95 grand cherokee lorado it runs but seems to act out of time or
misfire (jerking and quitting) when i put it in gear and hit the gas it shows no
codes i have a running driving 95 grand cherokee limited same six cylinder is
it easily interchangeable? 96 is obd 2 equipped the 95 isnt any ideas for a
quick fix or would the motor swap be the cheapest and most cost effective
