Car better dying - window electrical issues

Asked by Sep 23, 2019 at 06:38 AM about the 2014 Nissan Altima

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I’m concerned about the electrical
work in my 2014 Nissan Altima Window
switch. My drivers side window constantly
clicks while the car is on, this lead to my
battery being drained. Thinking it was a
battery issue, I bought a new one...this one
also eventually got drained from the window.
When I am able to roll the window down, it
obviously rolls back up on its own. Would I
need to replace the window regulator,
window switch (if they’re not the same thing),
or some other part? I’m not extremely familiar
with parts and I’m trying to avoid taking it
into the shop due to financial issues. Any
advice would help! Thank you.

If the switch works the window properly, why would you suspect the clicking is coming from the window switch. It's more likely to be the door lock repetitively clicking in whatever position it's in. Remove the door inter panel and investigate yourself. Just follow the click.
