my dome lights will not turn off and its draining my battery dead what might be the cause of this

i have a 98 grand cherokee limited

check the switch to make sure it is not turned all the way to"constant on".if that doesn't do it check dome lights,they may have been left on. if that's not the case,check all door switches,you may have a bad one. after these steps,you may need a new bcm or door cables have disconnects in the bundle.

I had the same problem on my jeep, check for a broken wire in the rubber wire boot housing of the door. You will have to reattach the wire by taping it or using a wire coupler.
