1999 jeep Cherokee lerado, it acts like it not going to start then it does. Then I smell a gas smell and there is a small gas leak at the rear of the vehicle?

First of all you need to find all gas leaks and fix them. "You don't want a gas fire and have you Jeep burn to the ground, after that try setting the timing sounds like it could be set a little retarded. Just take your time finding those leaks and setting the timing. That should be whats wrong!!! Don't make it a job make it fun. Working on a Car or Truck can be fun, there isn't anything better than fixing it for yourself!!! Good Luck and may you find and fix it with no troubles!!!
