2000 Jeep Wrangler shuts off while driving - Please help!
Hello! My 2000 Jeep Wrangler sometimes just shuts off while driving, meaning the power literally shuts off. I have checked my battery and it seems to be connected correctly and should not be the problem while driving 60 mph (which is when it shut off last time). It seems to do it most when I am in first gear just starting again from being at a stop light or when I am in 4th doing a higher speed on the highway.
Does anyone know what this could be attributed to? Please help!
It could be your ECU which in a Chrysler is very common. It could also be your MAF or MAP. It is definitely a problem with one or multiple sensors sending incorrect information to your ECU. However your ECU or other sensors may be improperly grounded causing a power "overload" and causing your ECU to decide to shut off the vehicle in order to preserve itself.
check at the fuse box. Had the same sort of thing happen after my winch went on.
