The PCM (computer) must be cleared using a scan tool. Or, if needed repairs are made the check engine light will go out in about a week or so of normal driving. Just make sure to keep the gas tank between 1/4 & 3/4 full so all the tests can run and all the readiness monitors will set. HTH. -Jim
