I cannot start the car,

Asked by WillisC Nov 27, 2014 at 02:47 PM about the 2014 Hyundai Equus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After putting things in the trunk, and then having to rearrange them to close the trunk,
everything shut down.  No lights, no power, and I cannot even open the trunk.  Any
ideas?

Heres a video on how to gain access to the trunk with no power and also where to jump start the car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gm3U46TnS8

I am having the same problem on my 2014 Equus it wil jump but most of the time if I open the trunk with the metal emergency key the power magically comes back on.

I was having this same problem and I first noticed this issue when it rained, once I turned hard, say like backing into a parking spot, all the electronics blink off but come right back on. But now its tending to stay off longer. I also went into the trunk to check the battery connections and when I touched the ground wire I heard a click sound. The power came back on.
