I have a Jeep liberty 2007 and I just had the same problem two day ago the car would not start, no crank the light came on, the radio I though it would be the battery. but it was not the battery. I had it towed to the mechanic shop, it was an electrical problem, the steering column, what ever that is it cost me $1400 total $300. in labor and the parts was $1100 hundred I am still in shock ,I don't know if the mechanic rip me off or what, it just happened no warning i still can't believe jeep sell part for $1100. but the car is okay now, thank good I had the money, I just started a new job and I needed the transportation

In the steering column where the key gose in below that t here is an acuater switch which when the key is inserted makers contact the jeep will start. The mechanic riped you off. I had the same problem I looked up the electrical digram and traced it to the acuater switch All the best to all of you with this problem. L B Hollywood flI
