What causes the alarm on a 2014 Honda Accord LX to sound continuously (no on/off pattern)?

Just test drove a 2014 Honda Accord LX.  As we were going over the vehicle afterward (opening hood, trunk, and doors), an alarm went off.  The horn blared solidly for minutes.  We tried lots of things to get it to stop.  We turned the car on and off twice, pulled the hood release, clicked the open lock button on fob, etc.  After one salesman couldn't get it to stop, we called another salesman out.  He sat in the driver's seat and pulled the hood release again causing it to stop.  WHAT ON EARTH CAUSED THIS?!  No one at the dealership could explain it and all mechanics were gone for the day (Saturday).  We like the car and want to buy it but are concerned about this security system.

That alarm was originally coded from the radio. If the battery is ever disconnected the alarm code must be recoded with the radio, assuming the car has original equipment. In terms of digital electronics the alarm code is in volatile memory and is lost where there is no power. I still have my Honda civic 2014 . I makes sense that some like this would be used in more than and one model of the same make. They told me the same thing they are telling you. Eventually they could not deny the problem any longer and replaced a chip. I was fine for a while. I forgot and turned on the radio. Obviously, someone won't own this and, or is retired.
