Coolant Leak

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just inherited, for lack of better words, a 2003 E250 van.  I changed the oil and filter, air filter and the radiator which had a leak. Now, when I put it back together, everything that I was a part of I had no issues. My problem occured when I put coolant in. This is what I saw ,the pictures might not be the best, but there is coolant coming from the rear side/top of engine(pictures taken from passenger side) beneath the manifold. Is there any way to fix this myself ?

Well you have two options 1. Replace head gasket 2. Option two may or may not help but I have used it and it has stopped the leak for 2 years now and still no leak so no guarantee but is worth a try Bars leak head gasket repair ( this is the one I used and it worked ) but I have heard some good news about Blue Devil leak repair.

Thanks, by researching it farther, I found that Ford runs a hose under the manifold, which to me is stupid, and I have seen that people have just cut the hose in front and rerouted it outside, instead of underneath the manifold. I am going to try this first, as a simple solution. If it works...great, if not, no harm, no foul.
