the emission lamp icon is still on after i tightened the gas cap. The manual said it would go off after a few days but its been 2weeks.

You may have to have the emission light reset, some of the parts stores can do that for you. Then if the light turns back on then there is something else wrong.

if you know someone that has a scan tool, have them hook it up and se if it's throwing any codes. Usually I would say that there is a leak in the fuel evaporation system, But that should NOT be the case if it's a 2013. If it is throwing any codes, It's under warranty and it should be taken care of. Does it say anything else in the manual as far as how to reset the light?? b/c I know that some cars can have some of that stuff reset like the "Change Oil" message on vehicles as well as others.
